Welcome to ActiCalc
ActiCalc is the first calculator program that is easier to use than that familiar old hand-held calculators. Other PC-based calculators are either too awkward or too complex. Many users prefer to keep a separate desktop or pocket calculator available for those quick calculations that are needed in the normal course of business. ActiCalc breaks through the usability barrier.
ActiCalc works just like a regular desktop calculator, so you can be productive immediately. But it is loaded with features that take advantage of the power of the PC without forcing complexity on the user. The most obvious feature of ActiCalc is IntelliTape, which appears as a simple spreadsheet. You don't have to learn anything in order to benefit from the tape feature. In its simplest mode, the tape captures and displays all of your calculations, so there will never again be a question whether or not you entered data correctly.
This visual record of your calculations is a big time saver and quality enhancer. But that is just the beginning. ActiCalc allows you to easily change the entries on the tape. In this respect, ActiCalc is like a simple spreadsheet program, but you don't have to learn any complicated commands to build your own spreadsheets. In fact, you can even export your ActiCalc work into an Excel spreadsheet. ActiCalc can help you build simple spreadsheets more quickly than by using the spreadsheet program directly.
ActiCalc provides many other time-saving features. Like the tape, there is no learning curve required. If you don't need the features, they stay quietly out of your way.
