Memory Registers
ActiCalc provides three independent memory registers. To store the current balance into a register, press the
button to the right of the memory register.
To retrieve the contents of a memory register, simply click the register window with the mouse. In the following example, we entered 123, then pressed the
button for register 1. Row 12 shows ActiCalc storing the data.

We then typed 159, then clicked on the "123" within the memory register itself, then pressed enter. You may notice that the entry field in row 15 includes [M1], indicating the entry came from memory register 1. Unlike the other tape entries, you cannot change an entry that came from a memory register. This is because ActiCalc refreshes memory registers whenever you change any of the normal entries on the tape. So if you want to change an entry that came from a memory register, simply change the previous entries that created the memory contents.
