Interest
(This is a premium feature)
Begin by touching the "Fin" tab of the function panel. This will bring the financial registers to the front.
To calculate interest, store values into the other four financial registers (N, PV, FV, and PMT). Store values by typing the number, then pressing the S (store) button immediately to the right of the register. You will notice that all of these operations are recorded on the IntelliTape.
Once the other 4 registers contain the proper values, calculate interest by pressing the check button next to the interest register (%). ActiCalc will calculate the interest that satisfies the other four values.
This function is equivalent to the =RATE function in Microsoft Excel. In particular, ActiCalc uses the same positive/negative conventions that are used in Excel.
You can change values in the financial registers by editing the tape.
With the current release of ActiCalc, all financial calculations assume payments are applied and interest calculated at the end of the period.
