Technology

Throughout his career, Mr. Parmerlee has created hundreds of arrangements for various organizations and ensembles to help them realize their musical visions.  Today’s technology has finally offered him an opportunity to arrange the world’s most beautiful songs the way he feels them.

The arrangements are developed in his music studio.  When complete, they are cast into MIDI and MP3 files that are transportable across musical instruments.

The files are stored on a powerful computer system, designed and assembled by Mr. Parmerlee for this specific purpose.  At your event, Mr. Parmerlee calls upon that computer to recall any of his arrangements at the click of a mouse.  Those arrangements are piped into a PA system where they are combined with Mr. Parmerlee’s live performance.

The technology allows the selection of a wide variety of material and styles.  In addition, this system incorporates a large selection of recorded popular music that Mr. Parmerlee airs during his breaks, combining all the benefits of a DJ with a live performer. Because the system is compact, he can offer this service at an affordable price.

The technology is not limited to computers and synthesizers.  Mr. Parmerlee is an avid collector of brass instruments.  Don't be surprised to see him playing selections on such obscure instruments as the sackbut, contrabass trombone, or even the mysterious and sensual double-belled euphonium.
